With more than half a lifetime spent working in support services and Soft FM, Paul Trendall is Duncan Scott Associates' Principal Consultant.
During a long and successful career in the private sector Paul has held directorships with public companies including; Continuous Improvement Director, Ops Director (Cleaning). Ops Director (Security), Commercial Director (including Procurement, Fleet and Marketing Functions), and was Managing Director of a leading Interior Fit-Out and Shopfitting business.
Paul is a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals, and a member of the International Professional Security Association ("IPSA"), where he served on the International Committee and Executive Management Board, and represented IPSA on the Governance Board of the Security Regulation Alliance. He is also a member of the British Institute of Facilities Management and an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply. Paul also holds a current Security Industry Authority licence.
In March 2018, Paul was elected to the position of Deputy Chair of the International Professional Security Association ("IPSA"), with the primary responsibility for financial oversight.
Paul is recognised as being as thought-leader in the introduction of chemical-free cleaning and has taken many clients through the process of becoming chemical-free in their approach to cleaning.
In 2017 Paul become accredited as a Mediator by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution ("CEDR"), the world leader in mediation training and accreditation. He is now able to conduct commercial and workplace mediations using the globally-acclaimed CEDR Model Mediation methodology.
At his disposal Paul has a talented group of independent consultants working in niche sectors including policing, security, CCTV, branding and web design. This means that in terms of resource it can bring into play to assist a client, Duncan Scott Associates is able to punch well about its weight for its size, and is able to offer clients a one-stop-shop for their consultancy needs.
Paul has also been a judge representing CEDR at the National Student Negotiation Competition, at which teams from some of the UK's best universities and law schools compete for the accolade of being the best negotiators.
